He has extensive experience on the Hercules as a Mechanic, and Senior Rep Major Maintenance, Manager Line Maintenance and Technical Director. His know-how and his skills are important assets in his current position as Vice President Quality Assurance and Safety
He is FAA licensed and has been trained in various functions in the United States Air Force

Jim Barnes, an American National, has just recently joined Transafrik. His vast experience on the Hercules and on Boeing 727 / 737, working many years for the manufaturer Lockheed Matin in the United States as well as overseas as Mechanic, Field Service Rep and Program Director.
He has completed many hours of study with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the University of Maryland towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Jim is 62 years old and has 43 years aviation experience out of which 35 years Hercules experience |

Pimentel Araújo, VP Corporate Services

Pimentel Araujo born as Angolan National, has been Working for many years in the Angolan aviation industry. He is working in the company since 10 years and has been previously working as Economist in Angola Bank of development. After he joined the national airline TAAG as Finance and Corporate planning Director. He then was Chairman and CEO of S.A.L. in Luanda before he joined Transafrik.
He has graduated in Finance at the Lisbon University in Portugal, and has attended various Management courses at the M.I.T Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Mc Gill University at Montreal
